Compass House - Access Statement

Introduction

Compass House aims to cater for the needs of all our guests. Our home is a late Victorian house. We offer comfort at a high standard in very pleasant surroundings.

Our Location

We are located close to the top of a hill in a residential area. The nearest shops are 0.7KM (0.44 Miles) away. Seafront is approximately 1KM (0.7 Miles) downhill via a footpath. The nearest railway station is Exmouth station 1.2KM (0.75 Miles) from Compass House. Given prior notice we can arrange to collect you from the station. There are several local taxi companies; we can make bookings for you.

Arrival and Car Parking

Parking is up a short gravelled driveway from the road. Please park in the bay to the left of the drive allowing as much room for others as possible. . To ensure your accommodation is ready check in time is from 14:00 if you are likely to arrive after 21:00 (9PM) please let us know in advance. We offer assistance with luggage. The level from parking area to house is up a slight incline. The path from the driveway is approximately 14M long and 1M wide at the narrowest. The pathway is surfaces in compacted gravel.

Entrance

There is only one public entrance to Compass House. Please ring bell on right hand side of door. There are two steps of approximately 20cm to reach the front door.

Dining room

The dining room is on the ground floor and is partially carpeted. We cater for vegetarians and with prior arrangement other dietary requirements. Breakfast is served at 8:30 – 10:00 . Tables have an under space of 24 inches and height of 28 inches. All dining room furniture is movable.

Bedrooms

We have 3 bedrooms : all on the first floor. All bedrooms are carpeted; with tea making facilities, LCD televisions with Freeview and DVD players. All rooms have en-suite facilities. There is no lift to access the bedrooms.
